Lake Wilcox Park
This is a scenic waterfront park located at 55 Olde Bayview Avenue next to the popular Wilcox Lake. The park has a lot of amenities, scenic views, and playgrounds and forms part of the Oak Ridges Community Centre and youth area. Some of the most lovable amenities and features include a beautiful view of the lake, a giant kid’s playground with plenty of equipment, a splash pad, a sandbox, well-maintained trails, a picnic area with BBQ facilities, a kiosk, clean restrooms and plenty of parking. The park’s location outside Richmond hills downtown area is the only downside to the park but with all the fun and laughter you experience on your visit there, it’s definitely worth the drive at the very least. Statistically speaking, Lake Wilcox Park receives the highest number of visitors every year when compared to other local parks. The park opens from 9 am to 9 pm all week long.
Mill Pond Park
This is another top-rated park in the city that is located next to a river and offers a wide selection of amenities including a boardwalk, picnic areas with a gazebo and benches, a playground that encircles a pond, an ice skating rink which opens during winter, a bandstand for live summer events, and great trails for walking or biking. The pond is very lively and is a perfect place to watch swans, geese, and turtles play around in the water. The park is located at 21 Mill Street and is open for 24-hours all year long.
Crosby Park
Last on the list is Crosby Park which is located in the heart of the city and features the ultimate playgrounds for kids and adults, modern facilities and equipment, open green spaces, a giant water park, long paved trails that are lined with trees, and lounge chairs for sunbathing among other things. The park opens from 8 am to 4 am from Monday to Friday and has been termed the cleanest park in the city.
