Uxbridge Fall Fair
This is one of the oldest traditions in Uxbridge dating back to the mid-1880s. The fair aims to celebrate local farmers and their contributions in shaping a healthy community through organic farming. The festival takes place at Elgin Park the weekend after Labor Day and features lots of fun things for both adults and kids.
Some of the interesting activities include flower & vegetable exhibitions, cattle, poultry, goat, rabbit, and sheep shows, home craft vendors, demolition derby, the midway, tractor pull, heavy horse pull, the barnyard rodeo and lots of other exhibits galore. There are also lots of fresh farm products and tasty local fare from the top restaurant in Uxbridge in this September event for the people to enjoy. The Uxbridge Fall Fair attracts over 5000 people from every corner of Uxbridge and the neighboring communities and around 500 exhibitors. The event offers the ultimate fun for the whole family.
Uxbridge Ribfest
This is another top-rated annual event in the Township that offers plenty of fun and entertainment for everyone. With their signature finger-licking ribs from the best restaurants in the industry and kids fun zone to the fancy shows and beer garden for the adults, there is nothing not to like about this event. This three-day event which was initiated by the Uxbridge’s Royal Canadian Legion branch is currently organized by a local community group by the name Bonner Boys. The event gives everyone something special to look forward to in the summer.
Other popular annual events in the Township of Uxbridge include the Heritage Christmas Craft Show which takes place in November and features lots of art and craft display from local upcoming artists and a Santa Claus Parade held in the same month. The parade features lots of lights and Christmas gift shopping along with free snacks for everyone.
