Kiwanis Heydenshore Park

Located immediately on Whitby’s shoreline, Kiwanis Heydenshore Park is a popular 24-hour park and recreational center which attracts the highest number of visitors every year within the town. Kiwanis Heydenshore Park has something for everyone from kids to adults. Some of the activities and amenities you will find here include a small but well-maintained beach where you can play with the water or bask in the sand, picnic area with benches and BBQ grills, a playground with updated equipment, a splash pad, a wide trail running along the shoreline, ample parking, an ice cream truck, and last but not least, very clean washrooms. Kiwanis Heydenshore Park offers a perfect weekend getaway destination where the whole family can have lots of fun. It is by far the best park in Whitby town.

Baycliffe Park

This is another highly valued park in Whitby that is located at St Philip Ct that opens from 6 am to 10 pm all week long. Being one of the most popular recreational destinations in town, Baycliffe Park has a lot to offer including a huge playground for kids with a giant play structure, a splash pad, a water slide, and a picnic area with benches and shelters. Baycliffe Park is very popular with school-aged kids but it is also perfect hang out spot for adults.

Rotary Sunrise Lake Park

Coming third on the list is Rotary Sunrise Lake Park, another waterfront park located immediately next to the famous Kiwanis Heydenshore Park. The park has a few amenities including a play area for kids, benches, a pier and access to the beach area and beautiful view of the lake. The park might not compete with the best in terms of amenities but is a great place to watch the sunrise or set or maybe enjoy watching boats sail out and about.
